Metamorphoses of the Anachron
Annotation

The main subject of Michal Čeloud Šembera is processual sculptures having the form of consistently sustainable biotopes. They combine organic life – plants – and minimalist geometry or, eventually, architectonic, historicist morphology. The employed lighting tubes make them look like modernist light sculptures, but at the same time represent a purely functional feature allowing for the plants to live. Some objects moreover display a hint of inorganic disintegration, which seemingly contradicts organic growth, although the two principles are inherently connected.
