- Název práce
- Mám len dve miestnosti, ľavú a pravú hemisféru
- Anotace
Kristínu Haviarovou inspiroval v diplomové práci vztah k prostoru, který obývá – ať už se jedná o dům, ve kterém vyrostla, nebo byt, v němž současně žije. Drobné i větší opravy, výměny součástek a dílů, estetické úpravy, rekonstrukce, vitalita spotřebičů. Všechno pro ni sehrálo důležitou roli, obzvláště v období, kdy drtivá většina aktivit probíhala v prostoru vymezeném několika stěnami. Haviarová, jak je pro její tvorbu typické, i k prostoru bytu přistupovala jako k samostatné entitě, která stejně jako lidské tělo podléhá opotřebení a následnému opečovávaní.
Výsledná instalace je sestavena z modelů domácího prostředí – autorkou vytvořené stojany, stěny a židle jsou doplněné předměty, reprezentanty funkce, užitkovosti, dekoru, života. Důraz je kladen na kombinaci manuální práce s materiálem (keramická hlína, hliněná omítka), s průmyslově vyrobenými součástkami (dveřní zámek) nebo přírodními formami (uschlé části rostlin).
Dílo Kristíny Haviarové je vizuální spekulací propojenou s osobním textem. Zamýšlí se nad paradoxem nehybnosti komodit, kde i navzdory současné spotřebě a hyperprodukci jejich životnost nadále přesahuje tu lidskou. Jsou ony obyvateli našich obydlí, nebo jsme to my, kdo pobýváme v jejich světě? Pohled, který autorka nabízí, je spíš poetický. Text je psaný formou fragmentů vyprávění čehosi, co se jeví jako příběh, který nemá začátek ani konec. Sochy Haviarové se snaží oživit sociální rozměr materiálu ve stínu jeho funkce, historie a definice.
