What is your graduation work about??

I work the same way I have been working. What surrounds me and etches into my head gets imprinted under my hands. Although I hope the exhibition will also present the work from my six – month scholarship in Iceland. I have tried to capture my feelings from the stay in it. If I were to describe at the moment what my graduation work is about, I would say that, among other things, it comes down to the almost physical feeling of Iceland… And silent criticism of rush, deception, superficiality… Well, actually, for example Instagram.

But anyway, I approach the work with the same desire as before – to look beneath the surface… and so it will probably be a portrait for me as well – the portrait of a desired solitude, a presence, a feeling, an impression…

What do you do besides your graduation work??

Since I eat my breakfasts, lunches, and dinners with my graduation work, there is not much time left for other activities. When I am not working on it, I am usually in the school studio anyway, and sometimes one stops with everything, stretches, crunches carrots, and stares out the window. I am going to miss the windows at the Academy terribly!

In what conditions would you like to work on your graduation work??

The exact ones I work in. I could not ask for better conditions than the Academy studio. One could always argue that it would be nice to have better financial conditions, more spacious facilities, cleaner, better equipped, with a break room, built-in restaurant offering food for free, sauna, saltwater swimming pool… with the sounds of the sea. Well, I take back the first sentence.

What would you imagine to be an alternative culmination of your studies at AVU, in place of the defense of your graduation work?

An ideal situation would be no need to defend a graduation work.
