What is your graduation work about??

My graduation work explores the possibilities of surviving a one-hour leave. The result is an adventure text guide consisting of a non-existent vacation’s fictional situations. It is collages of poetic captions and hour-long playlists compiled while pursuing this subject and becoming an integral part of my holiday projections. Music alone has an escapist effect, inducing emotion, stimulating the imagination, and intensifying the atmosphere of imaginary holiday experiences.

I will summarize these utopian imaginings in a vacation destination guide: as instructions for appropriate experiences and locations for an imaginary hour-long vacation. The installation evokes an escapist, dreamscape feeling when one can enjoy a holiday based on a perfect scenario.

What do you do besides your graduation work??

I design glass and lighting and am interested in public space issues, dogs, and exercise.

What would you imagine to be an alternative culmination of your studies at AVU, in place of the defense of your graduation work?

A shared studio vacation.
